Sauvignon Blanc has the most amazing spectrum, ranging from tangy Sancerre and NZ, to fruity Italian, to classic and massive. Up to now, classic and massic meant Graves. Now Lail Georgia (and its little sister, Blueprint, with a lighter touch) demonstrate that Sauvignon Blanc California can be a massive white. Chateau Montelena chardonnay beat French Burgundy in the 1970s; Georgia does it for sauvignon blanc 30 years later.
