The only puzzling thing about this wine is the price.  It's a very straightforward wine with darker, smokier fruit that lasts on the palate like paint.  This would work well with most wild game dishes.

Really an old world style, not accessible young, but you can feel the potential, so just wait a little bit and this will reward I think

Very much like a classic bordeaux, built for the long haul

Drink by: 13 to 20 years
This is closed up tight. There is so much underneath it all though! This needs not air, but time.
Hours in decanter begin to reveal what will only truly be shown with years in the cellar, a classic
bordeaux profile of cedar and leather and earthy complexity anchored to a core of darker toned red
fruit. Newton is an underrated gem. So much better than so many wines at twice and thrice the
cost. I think it is not the ability for age that works against them but the fact that they REQUIRE age
to show their charms. Still, I would much rather have that than the disappointment of opening a
lush eight or ten year old California Cab or blend that was a charmer in its youth, only to find it
brown and dead. I`ve been there and I`ve learned patience. Give me quality and I`ll wait.
