One of my "first" wines was a California Gamay- Beaujolais, (many magnums ago...). Old tastes die hard I guess. I like this wine. It was nicely fruity, but not without structure and a slightly dryer finish. This is a great BBQ wine, it goes well with almost any smokey/spicey dish, or just drink it solo, slightly chilled.
