Medium garnet in color. A beautiful nose of cherry cola, pencil shavings, and flower petals. The palate shows off a very showey and structured cab style I rally appreciate. Lots of red/black fruits: currants, blackberries, black cherries, red and black plum. Amazing showing of some dimensional traits of leather, pencil shavings, and spring showers on river stones. The cherry-cola notes never really end. This really opened up after about 30 minutes in the glass revealing a deft backbone filled with meshy tannins and bounded acid. The cola note remains long on through. The finish is 90 plus seconds. I really love this one's showing tonight. If you love a plush chewy, but not unruly cab, this might be the ticket. (93 pts.)

Disclaimer: I'm new in the wine world guys, but I have realized I really enjoy it!New world taste, very frutty and full of berries, well balanced wine. I received a bottle of the 2004 Oakville Ranch from a good friend that owns a restaurant and I was quite surprise when I taste it. I kept it cool on my wine cooler and my brother in law came to visit and we decided to try this one out. I had no time to open it a let it breath before I pour it, and I was amazed it wasn't necessary. The wine was awsome from the very begining. When it started to open I felt I wanted to have only small sips to don't finish the bottle since it was so good! I heard it is about $50.00, but I haven't found it in any of the local stores where I live. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!
