I was excited to taste this wine after LOVING the Moulin-A-Vent from 2006. This wine was thinner with less of the depth, but had intriguing flavors of strawberry and lots of smoked meat. It was almost like smelling a (good) butcher shop! A little thin and tart for my tastes, but not bad.

| Can't believe that this is a Beaujolais. Cherries, Deep, Earthy, Tar. was $10, Should buy more if I could find it. Finish is too short though. Ate w/Braised chicjen w/figs and honey - not an ideal match. Pop'n Poured. Got earthier as the night progressed. Imporved a lot w/ age. Last time I tasted it I gave it a 87. No notes |
