| Jun 09, 2008 |

| Much bigger than the 2001 - I rather enjoyed this inky petite syrah. Deep dark inky-purple color - maybe it's better to let this one breathe a few hours. Starts out indistinctly fruity in the mouth but quickly moves to tart, with a touch of dryness on the finish. |

| This was a better than average petite syrah but I'm not sure if it lived up to the price. Very light aroma. It tried to be fruity but the acid overpowered. Some hints of black cherry. Mild dryness and aftertaste. Drink while it's young! |

| 1999 - Stags' Leap Winery Petite Syrah |
| Peaking |
| Jun 07, 2008 |
| This wine is really good thanks to the tannins finally softening, but it's time to drink it now. Dark and inky in color. Raspberry and asphalt on the nose, with brambly blackberry and orange zest on the body. Nice smokey finish with notes of red raspberry and black grapes. But drink now. |

| 2004 - Stags' Leap Winery Petite Syrah |
| Fruit Forward with Alcohol |
| Jun 07, 2008 |
| Good vintage but more fruit forward and higher alcohol than previous vintages. intense blackberry and chocolate on the nose. Fruity and chocolaty on the palate. Outstanding with a hershey bar or other milk chocolates! This is a different year, so if you have this vintage don't expect for it to taste like this again. |

| 2005 - Stags' Leap Winery Petite Syrah |
| Dark Wine |
| Jun 07, 2008 |
| Very dark color is the first thing you notice. It has very strong tannins and deep purple in color but the fruit is still there with strong raspberry/blackberry flavors. Sweet nose of pepper, berries, and spices (cumin, cinnamon, and sweet oak and another I cannot currently think of). While nowhere near the slam-bang fruit/heat forward 2004 I'm certainly going to pick up a few more bottles of this to enjoy in the near future as well as in years to come |

| Melons? |
| Jun 07, 2008 |
| Has anyone else tasted cantelope in a red wine? Once I started thinking melons, it was unmistakeable. And I really like it. Never noticed this flavor profile in another red wine. It still does show the various tags (oak, berry, etc.), but it does have that something else going on. Am I loony or does someone else find it too? Let me know! |

| 2001 - Stags' Leap Winery Petite Syrah |
| Lovely Wine |
| Jun 07, 2008 |
| This was a very lush and enjoyable. Lovely extracted raspberry and blackberry fruit on the palate and the nose; decent balance and structure; strong (but not overwhelming) oakiness, provided plenty of cedar, clove, cinnamon, and brown sugar character on the nose. Lovely wine. |

| 2002 - Karly Petite Sirah |
| Big Petite |
| Jun 03, 2008 |
| This is a big bold petitie syrah with octupus type ink color, and big plum nose that hits you hard and fast. Overall the wine is a little more on the jammy side than I prefer but it is still a well made wine that should last a good 6+ years. |

| 2003 - Summers Petite Sirah |
| Plum Wine! |
| May 28, 2008 |
| This wine was as dark as a wine could get, and the plum flavors dominate the palate. I don't mind plum, but as a dominate flavor it's a little bit much for me. The oak is subtle and there is some blackberry notes but still too much plum for me. |

| Fruit forward with round tannins |

| Incredibly dark color. Beautiful perfumed nose. Rich fruity flavor profile that I enjoyed a lot. The one thing bothering me was a note of acetone on the midpalate/finish. If it hadn't been for that, this would have ranked 4 stars. I look forward to trying my other bottles. |

| 2004 - Concannon Petite Sirah Limited Release |
| Better Than Expected |
| May 24, 2008 |

| Pair with a steak or wild game with a lot of spice. This was better than the following years 2005 performance but still not an unbelievable performance. Dark plum and olive oil dominate the palate. |

| 2005 - Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah |
| Excellent petite sirah at $10 |
| May 14, 2008 |
| Exceptional QPR. Has everything I want in a daily quaffer: full-bodied, rich fruit, nice acidity and tannin without over-oaking. Good (88 points) right out of the bottle but significantly better after generous aeration (4+ hrs). This is a steal at $9-10. |

| 2004 - Concannon Petite Sirah Limited Release |
| Fruit-forward entry-level petite |
| May 14, 2008 |

| Deep garnet color. Flavor profile is blueberry and blackberry pie. Drying tannins on the finish but not as much as I'd come to expect from petite sirah. A bit hot on the finish. A fruit-forward, consumer-friendly wine at a very attractive price point. Suitable both as a cocktail wine and with hearty meats. |

| 2005 - Concannon Petite Sirah Reserve |
| Empty Alcohol |
| May 13, 2008 |

| This wine was light grape jelly mixed with alcohol. The color wasn't even as dark as you would expect a petite sirah. This was a low priced wine that still cost way too much. |

| 2003 - Concannon Petite Sirah |
| Nothing petite about this wine |
| May 07, 2008 |
| This was a full bodied wine right out of the gate. Deep purple color, well balanced. I credit the hot 2003 vintage for that. Like a souped up shiraz from Oz. Strong flavored and taste lingers. Legs ran medium fast. Everyone should sample a petite syrah to see if it's for them. Good. |

| Cola is a dominating factor in this wine, but it integrates very well with the srtawberry and light raspberry fruit. The oak is pretty hidden which is a nice surprise. This wine has great acidity which will help it pair well with a lot of different foods. Drink young. |
