| I like it. It is semi-dry, with citris flavors. The low acidity is what makes this wine so accessable now. Again, not a bad wine if you are looking for an affordable white that everyone can enjoy. |

| It's ok. The nose is light. It has a little citrus, some mineral, and hints of tropical fruit. Body is light as well and has an intersting tropical fruit and citrus taste. Mid palate is hollow and finish is slightly citric but very short. Easy drinking on its own on a warm day. |

| I didn't like it. This is a strange wine. the first glass got a lot of citris flavors (which is not bad but nothing else) and then the second was just heavy. This vintage was a little too flabby and alcoholic for my tastes. |

| I loved it! On the nose this wine has elderberry flower, acacia flower. On the palate: dry, balanced alcohol, almost too subtle acidity, some honey and white peaches; nothing breathtaking, but definitely nice and enjoyable, it reflects what you can expect for the price. |

| I like it! I could definately pick up the pear flavor in this wine. I also picked up a hint of citrus (lemon/lime). No real finish either. It just sort of disappears with no after-taste. Worth a try if you can get this bottle half off like I did ;-) |

| Another Great Vintage |

| This has explosive lemon with the perfect balance of crisp acidity. I really couldn't find much wrong with this wine. Although the color could have been better...but seriously, does that matter much? |

| Thi has a well balanced body and really nice acidity. Packing the lemon and citrus big time. Nice long finish. Pushing up on the pricepoint for me on a Pinot Gris but worth the little extra and glad I bought a couple of bottles. |

|
| This is a very simple oaky pinot gris, flavourful with grass and citrus fruits on the nose. Decent finish. Just above average quality wine. I wouldn't buy a case but I wouldn't turn my glass away. |

| Well structured and balanced, once again this is an excellent example of pinot gris and I love the floral notes on this vintage. This might be a little bit light for some, but most should be impressed with what this brings to the palate. |

| Light and Refreshing |

|
| This is a great example of what pinot girs should look like. Light, crisp, refreshing wine that is easy to pair with food. This has excellent lemon, apple and light light pear notes. Enjoy with a light seafood dish or asain cuisine. |

| 2004 - Scarlatta Pinot Grigio |
| Good with Food |
| May 29, 2008 |

|
| Crisp clean pinot grigio with light undertones of lime and citrus fruit. Any oak seems to be hiding pretty well, and that makes this a much more refreshing and enjoyable wine. This wine still needs food to reach its full expression. |

| I saw 5 stars and I had to laugh. There's nothing really wrong with this wine, but its just your average pinot gris. Everyone has their own palate and this would work well with most lighter foods, but its lemon, grass and alcohol. And not much else. |

| Ok - that's it. |

|
| There are hundreds of pinot grigios that deliver the same quality for significantly less cash. This wine was way too light even for a pinot grigio in my humble opinion. More like water than wine. |

| 2006 - Morgan Pinot Gris R & D Franscioni Vineyard |
| dry rich food friendly value |
| Apr 28, 2008 |
|
|
| This pinot gris is from the franscioni brother's shared vineyard high up in the SLH. Peachs, pears, crisp acidity, a broad thick mid-palate with a lingering dry finish make this Alsace style white extremely food friendly. A great counter point to the generic italian pinot grigios. |
