2004 - Wynns Riesling
Bone Dry

This is a different style of riesling, coming out of Australia, this is a bone dry wine. It's a screwcap, and it is extremely fresh, and filled with a lime tint to the wine.  This would be great with barbque shrimp.

This was just too all over the place - but mainly in a place I didn't want it to be. The fruit is akward and the oak  dominates.  Not even good for the money.

. . . but really not that bad, dryish, crisp enough and good when consumed cold on a hot day. I would try it.

This wine was not too shabby except that it was a little bit too over the top.  I could see this being a wine that newby drinkers would flock too instead of cheap chardonnay - as would I if I were them.  The acidity was lacking and that took this wine down a notch.

Light golden yellow in the glass with silvery highlights, this wine is nicely fruity up front with citrus, mineral, and light melon. It is initially quite sweet on the palate but is later tempered by decent acidity. The palate has lime, light tropical fruits, and something that oddly reminds me of gummy bears. An excellent, well-chilled sipper.

This wine is a good dessert wine. It has a medium body.
The color is a light gold and almost a straw like yellow.
Aromas of honey, citrus, tropical fruits, and a bit of peaches.
kind of sweet but not too much.

I like this. It has a light body, and a almost tropical aroma of honey and fruit. It is very refreshing, and has a nice purity to it.
