Great red, tastes perfect slightly chilled. Nice flavor, not overpowering, good linger. Goes well with most foods!

Good and Cheap!

This is a great inexpensive sparkler! This wine has a golden/brass appearance and smells toasty. The taste is dry, crisp, and features good alcohol. It's yeasty and toasty with a bit of apple and pear. It's clean with a medium texture.

IF you like fruit bombs....has a nose of vanilla and cassis.nice plum and blackberry front giving way to some toffee flavored gripping tannins then the finish is full of raisins. this is an interesting wine needs to open a little. it's worth a shot but surely not for everybody. would pair nicely with a juicy steak.

Great Value!

This vintage has vanilla notes up front, with some ripe berry and currant flavor there as well. Hard but integrated tannins come accross on the midpalate and finish. Probably not one for the old school Tempranillo drinkers, but this has to be a hit in the domestic market that loves the big stuff.

New from Old

This is a very new world styled wine with vanilla oak and fruit exploding. Big and ripe, very much seeming to show a "new world" style, this tempranillo could almost pass for some kind of California cabernet.  Drink over the next 5 years.

Another Solid Value

At  $10 a bottle, how can you top this? This winery has produced mostly solid value red wines and this vintage is no exception. It was just as good as I hoped it would be based on the previous two vintages, with black fruit and spice with smooth tannins, just the way I like my reds. Buy a case!

This was another solid vintage, and I actually enjoyed this wine more than the 2001 but I felt like the 01 was more complex. Overall its a great value - wonderful table red. Strong chocolate and berry notes. Yummy.

Much Better!

This vintage is a 180 from the previous year.  This vintage was interesting, not a fruit bomb from my perspective....I got more earth/dirt tones, little fruit, with some alcohol but not as the predominant flavor like the 2000. I didn't try it with food, so I'd be curious about how others have had it.

Too Hot
Jun 05, 2008

This wine was too hot to recommend. I decanted this for 4 hours first...not at all impressed, even if QPR is considered. It was very hot on the nose and palate (burned to sniff deeply), and this carried though to the palate. That's about all I can say. Burn this hot wine!

pass on this vintage

Big disappointment after the 2001 vintage.  It has crappy sour-cherry nose with tons of fake sweetness followed by a chemical aspect that is not at all enjoyable. On the palate this stuff is awful because it tastes just like it smells.  Pass on this vintage.

Good  Tempranillo! This was a good surprise to the palate with very nice plum and vanilla taste - I smell a surprising bit of tobacco on the nose. Quite nice and very easy to drink.

This wasn't quite the 2004 but it was still excellent!  It has dark, rich, powerful, dense over-the-top flavor. It's got all kinds of fruit all dark stuff; plums, cherries, blackberries, currant. Delicious cedar and oak, maybe tobacco too.

Beautiful!  It has delicious dark fruit, with hints of dark cocoa and cedar in the toasty finish. A very robust wine that will accompany any beef that has been grilled. Buy it by the case, if you can afford it! I sure can't!

It has really lovely fruity red blend that can adapt to just about any red wine drinking scenario. Good to take to a party where you don't quite know the food story, and good for just drinking a glass or 2.

Much better than other vintages that I've had but still not that great - it's mostly cherry taste with a bit of spice. It won't change your life, but it's a nice value. Drink now and with food.

This is the best of the vintages that I tried, it was intense enough to be worthwhile, but not dry or harsh. Long flavor and full body. A sexy wine in some ways, but mostly still just a value wine.

Another pass for me. It was somewhat tasty, but very one dimensional. Yes, it's a nice value, but you can spend just a couple bucks more and find a much nicer bottle.

Overall it is a very rich, woody, almost chocolaty aromas with a hint of sandalwood.  Smoky, cedary dark wine. Little in the way of fresh fruit flavours - possibly mushrooms. Old world style, but hidden subtle flavours. Moderate tannins, with fading finish. Drink Now.

Plum Jam Nose. Good Mouth Feel. Not over oaked. Nice smooth feel on the palate. Way above average for price range. This is another vintage to buy by the case.
