Medium ruby core with a bright red rim. Restrained nose of red currant, boysenberry, and tart cherry with a touch of damp earth as well. This surprisingly fruit driven Lynch Bages is big and lush upon entry then thins out a bit before finishing with a nice tannic punch. I like the prospects of aging this wine for at least a couple decades after bottling. Nicely textured yet firm in overall structure

Medium to full bodied, well balanced classic Bordeaux.  Exhibits dark dried fruits, BBQ smoke, and some earthiness.  I'm glad I have another bottle as I think it will improve over the next 5 - 10 years.

Solid bordeaux - it has a very nice fruity aroma, slightly herby, very rich. Very slight acidity in the flavor, some fruit and citrus, definitely sweet and sour. Not a very strong flavor but decent.

This is another example of a steal in Bordeaux.  The other reviewers but this at 4+ stars, which I can understand, but previous vintages of this wine are better.  However, for 2002, this is great quality and the expression of cedar, plum, and stone really come through on this wine.

2002 Lynch Bages-maggie format.  took it to a friend's house for dinner on saturday night.  i had opened it on friday night and let it sit out open in the decanter ALL NIGHT LONG and then recanted it back into the maggie the next morning.  WOW, this wine was rockin-showing everything it had to show for such a youngin.  there was froots galore as well as a long and lingering finish.  fer sure 5 outta the usual 5 starrzz.

Unbelievable depth and silky smooth soft tannins. Sweet ceda, pencil lead and tobacco on the nose. Dark extracted color for bordeaux, and still vibrant fruit. Simply perfect and it has a long life ahead of it.

Thin color--like a Pinot Noir. Nose subtle. Palate was medium and nicely balanced. Still has some tannins. A real pleasure to drink.

Still has great depth and purity of fruit. Nose has a great funk that i love in old wines. light garnet, with orange at the rim. still doing well but definitely mature.

Gracefully aging elegant glass of red velvet

My third bottle and I consistantly taste hints of leather & fruit.  Velvet like smoothness with a nice steady finish.  This wine has reached it's point of maturity & stayed there.  Age has been a great influence on this wine.

The day I got this wine was a good one it was my birthday. We opened it almost right away, so typical of my friends and I. We love wine. I wouldn't say I know allot about it but I know I like. This wine had a cool coloring to it purple and red. The scents I smelt where cedar, cassis licorice. It has a medium.

This Bordeaux is dark purple and red. It is a simple wine and has an aroma of cedar wood, tobacco, herbs and black currants. This wine is good and at a fair price.

There is a lot of color in this Bordeaux with dark plum, ruby and plum. the aromas are of black olive, cedar, cassis licorice and damp earth. It has a full medium to full bodiless to it.

The 2000 has a dark purple color to it. Aromas of Sweet crème de cassias are strong. With a hint of earth. This is a strong full bodied wine.
