An Haut Brion that can be had for a reasonable price.  I tasted plum and currant. The wine is medium to full-bodied and very elegant.  The finish is long.  This wine is ready to drink or hold for another 10 years.

The color is perfect, the nose is intriguing, and then you taste it....Awesomeness Personified!! The coffee is my favorite aspect that stands out, but the fruit is all over t plae leaving a nice long finish.  I expected different, because of this being a warmer vintage but this wine is very contained.  Perfection.

Tasted from a 375ml. Popped for the heck of it. Fairly dark ruby color. Intense nose of cassis, vanilla, fresh flowers and graphite. Medium to full bodied. Bright acidity, nice fruit and fine tannins. It's a little bit musty and tight at this point, though. I'm not popping another for 5+ years.

Spectacular. It's pretty close to a perfect Bordeaux.

Spectacular. It's pretty close to a perfect Bordeaux. Silky tannins, powerful, seductive and layers of black fruit. A bit of smoke and graphite. It probably has another 10 years of bottle life.

This wine seems to have been significantly underscored by the reviewers.  The wine is a deep, nuanced ruby red and gives off fabulously nuanced aromas of dark fruits with some of the typical Earth and ash of Bordeaux.  The taste is amazing, as it is a richly layered and silky smooth experience in the mouth that has a 30 second finish.  I was astounded at how rich the fruit was for a bordeaux.  Highly recommended and drinking very well now.  If only it wasn't $300...

This is a very elegant wine. It has the aroma of scorched earth, cherries, liquid minerals, lead pencil. It has a very dense purple and ruby color to it. This Bordeaux has a powerful yet delicate flavor to it.

This Haut has an aroma of smoke, earth, minerals, lead pencil, black currants, cherries and spice. This full bodied wine unfolds slowly but strongly on the palate with a rich multi-tiered sweet finish that lasts 45 seconds.
