Wow what a beautiful pale golden color (clean and clear). Absolutely intoxicating aromas of peach, ripe citrus, and apricot confiture. Shows tons of botrytis but remains fresh and lively on the mid-palate. Lots of toasty marshmallow and charred oak with everything in the right place (and in the right proportion). Loaded with fruit, but replete with the proper acidty. Delicious and rich

Pour this on vanilla ice cream and enjoy.  This had apricots and vanilla pear notes running through your palate and doing jumping jacks.  It's very thick on the palate, but the oak cuts into it a little bit and takes away from what would otherwise be 4+ stars.

A Taste of Honey

drinking this wine last night at the end of a fabulous meal was the inevitable hit of the night.  to steal the lyrics from a beatles song: a taste of honey, a taste much sweeter than wine.  well, this wine was a honey DEW.  golden in colour and sweet nectar on the nose with gardenias, star jasmine and honeysuckle on the nose it evolved into a pure honey expression on the palate and was unctious on the finish.  i wish i had more!

10 starzz outta 5 on this one!

For around $35/half bottle, here's a little gem that will finally bring that phrase, "nectar of the gods", into clear focus.  The 2001 version was Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year.  This 2003 doesn't come up too far behind in my opinion.  Here's a wine that lets you know something special is about to hit the tongue, and once it does, prepare to be swept up.  This honeysuckle of a wine is the quintessential dessert wine, but not overpowering.  It is just right.  Sweet, but not gooey sugary.  Refined, not syrup.  You will understand why France, and Sauternes in particular, has it all over the world in this area of sweet wines.  The perfect way to end a perfect day.  Well......

I had this wine with a nice light fish dish.
This might seem a bit odd but I think I could smell apple pie, and almost a crème brulee smell. I know sound odd but that's what I thought I smelled. It also has a nice yellow color and a strong and sweet taste with a full body.

It was great we opened this wine and right away we could smell it and it was awesome. In the glass the scents of orange, honey, vanilla and coconut. Make such an awesome combination and the full body adds a great balance to this wine.

There is a light golden color to this wine.

Nice sweet aroma of crème brulee, caramelized tropical fruit, honeysuckle, some sweet oaky kind smells.

This wine is VERY big and full bodied.

The best part is the VERY LONG finish. So enjoy every sip to the fullest and don't rush it.
