Do I have to sign a contract with WineZap?
You have to agree to our Terms of Service, but you don't have to sign up for a fixed period of time. You can cancel your account at any time.
Can I use www.my-own-store.com as my Store's web address?
Yes, many store merchants do. WineZap Store includes an easy-to-use built-in tool that lets you register your own domain name (my-own-store.com).
If you already have a domain name, we can help you transfer it.
How do I receive orders from online customers?
There are three ways to receive orders:
- Most merchants view orders in their web browser: just log in to your Store Manager. Once you've logged in, you'll be able to view orders over a secure connection.
- You can have orders sent to you by fax.
- You can have orders sent to you by email.
Do I have to know HTML?
No, you won't need to use HTML. To create your WineZap Store, you can type in the name, price, item number, description, etc., for each item you plan to sell.
On the other hand, you can use HTML if you like -- simply add HTML tags to the text that you enter.
Can I change a store once I've created it?
You can update your site as often as you want, from any Internet-connected computer. Some of our users update their sites several times a day.
While you're editing your site, visitors will continue to see the current version, but once you publish your changes, the updated version becomes visible instantly.
Can I get statistics about what is happening in my store?
Yes. WineZap Store's tracking tools are powerful and extensive, and make it easy to view traffic and sales on a daily basis.
I have a database of all my inventory. Can I use that database to build my store?
Yes. You can upload your database files, inspect the data, and then build your entire site with one click. Several of our largest merchants have built their WineZap Stores this way.

Do we need any special hardware or software to use WineZap Store?
You don't need anything more than what you are using to read this page -- a computer with a web browser and a way to connect to the Internet.
In order to include images in your Store you may want a scanner or digital camera.
The only software you need is an ordinary web browser.
Will WineZap help me drive traffic to my WineZap Store?
Yes. All WineZap Stores have the opportunity to participate in WineZap Shopping, one of the Web's biggest shopping destinations.
WineZap Store offers tools that make it easy for search engines to find all your pages. In addition, you can automatically submit your pages to all the major search engines right from the Store Manager.
We already have a web site. Can we use WineZap Store to build a storefront and put just the e-commerce part of our site on your servers?
Yes, many of our users create a WineZap Store for this purpose, and it works fine.
Will anyone else have access to my sales data?
We publish aggregate statistics, but we never disclose sales data for a specific WineZap Store without your prior consent.

Pricing
Setup Fee including graphic design work: $1500
Monthly Fee: $99
Network fee: 5% of sales generated from referrals from the WineZap network.
- For example, if we send you a customer from WineCommune or WineZap.com, and that customer places a $100 order, there will be a $5 fee for that order. The 5% network fee is only calculated on product sales, not shipping and handling costs.
- If a customer types your url directly or follows a link that you advertised online or offline, and places an order, there is no fee for that sale because it did not come from our network.
- The network includes our sites, our partner sites and advertising we may engage on your behalf. The power of our network is in the 500,000 wine buyers we attract each month - put it to work for you!
