Served May 2008 at a wine tasting for 30+ people. Not too many second takers, but overall well-received. This is a blend of (dry) reisling, sauv. blanc, marsanne and roussane. The last two grapes give it an interesting nose that is truly hard to describe, maybe a little petrol?
Overall, a light white that has much more going on than pinot grigio to make things interesting. It lacks the stone fruit of reisling, and the gooseberry of the sauv blanc. If pairing with food, keep it simple! Shellfish, maybe some cream sauces.
